Eliza Hong, a freshman at Del Norte High in California, placed second in the Division 1 girls senior/invitational race by covering the 3-mile layout in 18:28.1 at the 43rd ASICS Mt. Carmel Cross Country Invitational at Balboa Park's Morley Field in San Diego, Calif. Hong helped Del Norte capture the girls team title with 29 points.
