Sophomores Emily Russo and Paige Echsner, along with junior Ella Echsner, all finished in the top seven of the Division 1 girls senior/invitational race for Del Norte High in California at the 42nd ASICS Mt. Carmel Cross Country Invitational at Balboa Park's Morley Field. Russo was second, covering the 3-mile course in 18:32.5, Paige Echsner finished fourth in 18:59.2 and Ella Echsner clocked 19:17.3 to secure seventh for Del Norte, which took third overall with 69 points.
